For anyone in Munich tonight – head to the Olympiapark to see Mexican Elvis play at 21:00 on the outdoor Theatron stage. A veritable who’s who of the Bavarian Indie Music scene, tonight will also see shows by the excellent Missent To Denmark, and mogwai-esque instrumental gods, Instrument. Interestingly enough, multi talent – Nico Sierig will be playing drums in all 3 bands-  will he tire? will he rock? There is only one way to find out………

If you happen to be in Germany or near any fine newsagent stocking German magazines, head down there tomorrow morning and buy or steal the new issue of Musik Express who in their wisdom have decided to put “Friends” Mexican Elvis’ schadenfreude hit of the summer on their cover CD.  It was only a matter of time before Mexican Elvis joined R.E.M, Prince, Andy Warhol and Michael Jackson on the cover of a leading music publication. Buy it, frame it and show all your “friends”

There are new livedates added to the Mexican Elvis schedule. You can amazingly enough find them when you press the “live” button.

Das Jugendangebot des Bayerischen Rundfunks, on3, hat “John Frum Alaska” von Mexican Elvis zum Album der Woche gemacht. Ein Interview mit der Band hört Ihr am Donnerstag zwischen 16 und 20 Uhr auf on3radio.
Generell gibt es sehr gutes Pressefeedback.
Der Musikexpress gibt dem Album 5 von 6 Sternen und meint:
“Wie ein idealtypisches Wehinachtsfest. Ohne Stress, ohne Kitsch”
